You have a lot you want to do for your health, and much of it genuinely matters to you. The difficulty is not a lack of motivation. It is that work, family and home responsibilities are already asking for so much of your time and attention that your own wellbeing can keep slipping further down the list. This result shows a pattern that can leave you busy, stretched and constantly responding to everyone else’s needs—while the habits that would help you feel steadier, stronger and more energised struggle to find space.
Work deadlines, family needs, meals, laundry, appointments and household tasks all feel important—and often urgent. Your own health can start to feel like something you will get to once everything else is under control. But that moment rarely arrives on its own.
You may start preparing a healthier meal, plan a walk or a workout, then get pulled into something else. A family member needs something, work demands your attention, or the house needs sorting. You are constantly doing—but your own routine keeps getting interrupted before it has a chance to become steady.
You may begin the week with good intentions, then a busy work period, family commitment or household issue takes over. Your health can disappear because something else was allowed to take priority before you had a chance to protect time for yourself. You do not need more motivation. You need a routine that can survive real life.
Look at everything competing for your attention and choose one health action that deserves to lead this week. It does not mean other things do not matter. It means one small action gets protected first. Choose the one that feels most realistic—not the one that sounds most impressive.
Rather than waiting for a free evening or a quieter week, attach your priority to something already happening. Eating, sleeping, resting. Your routine does not need to be big to count. It needs to be repeatable enough to survive a busy week.
Recognising what gets in your way is a useful starting point. But really, no one fits perfectly into one result...
My complimentary Mindset for Lasting Change programme is much more thorough and helps you take the next step: exploring how you respond when your consistency roadblock appears and choosing something different to practice and move onwards.
Do You Want Better Results in Less Time? I created The Audit for women who are not ready for long-term coaching—but are ready to stop guessing and start taking targeted action tailored to them! This has three parts:
Have a health coach in your pocket for support, feedback, and guidance every week as you learn how to work with your strengths and build the skills and habits of a healthy lifestyle.
No waiting to talk through what’s on your mind. Just me, a text or voice message away. When you need me. Answers, advice, and support when you need it.
We can set goals and keep you on track daily, versus waiting to sit down on a coaching call once per week. I offer coaching and support Monday through Friday with a 24 hour turnaround time (typically much less!)
You are capable, responsive and often able to carry a great deal. Those strengths help the people around you—but they can also make it easy to keep adding responsibilities without checking what you need too.
When everything feels important, your energy gets spread across everyone and everything else. You can end a full day knowing you have worked hard, yet still wonder why you feel depleted, behind or disconnected from your yourself.
The work is not finding more hours in the day. It is deciding what small, non-negotiable action gets to matter for you—before the day begins competing for your attention.
With love,
My mind was spinning with overwhelm. I felt stuck in a loop. But within DAYS of starting coaching, I started feeling lighter, clearer and more confident in my actions. The real time support is a game changer!
The coaching support was brilliant, because it is personal and accessible, and the weekly check-ins helped me focus and stay accountable. Emma is always encouraging and helps me focus on what NEEDS to be done.
To say that coaching has changed my life is an understatement. Having tried numerous diets in the past, I had virtually given up hope of any meaningful weight loss. I have now lost 2 stone and have never felt fitter or healthier and I no longer feel like I am on a diet but now more of a way of life.
